Hi! Remember me? I'm that snow lady who only talked about snow for a week straight and then disappeared into a snowbank. Well, the snow has finally melted (almost) and also the TB-like cough (not the blood part but the public infectious scourge kind) I've had for 3 weeks (originating from that Darkest Day) finally left too, so all in all, I'm feeling better.
Well, better is probably not the word. I've seem to substitute mania for distress and while I enjoy mania more, it's not exactly relaxing.
I need relaxation,really.
There's so much I want to tell you, Internet friends, but ohmygodihavelike5minutes TOPS I can write something. I kid you not. 5 minutes. At 6 am on Sunday morning. Mania.
Recap/highlights of this past period that I will refer to as Cough Month:
- Why did I take on so many projects?
- Forgetting Fish Friday until it was too late
- Gave up sweets for Lent (how original), then had frozen yogurt from a I-95 rest stop this past Friday night and remembered part-way into my definitely-not-a-sweet oreo blizzard-like concotion. Side note: NEVER go to a rest stop at 9 pm on Friday night. It is not safe. It's usually scary in there but Friday night is a whole different level of unpleasantness.
- Why did I take on so many projects?
- OH! Got my haircut back into that orb/bob! Had been enjoying the increased length, ponytails, etc, but then had a yearning to look like a woman of style again. I had just let it go since last getting it cut so many months ago. Plus, I had 2 big presentations to give (one over, one forthcoming), scratch that 3 big presentations (one in a month) - crap - and I wanted to look nice.
- Had a retail experience at Ann Taylor that was heavenly. Therapeutic. Their spring line rocks.
- Was in NYC for a full-day conference - it was one of those days where you feel like a million bucks, just comfortable leading and on your game.
- Staying up late every night (and then on alternate nights, falling asleep involuntarily from exhaustion) trying to put together these first two work presentations - the upcoming one which is a national talk THAT IS NOT DONE YET. I have like 6 days. Um, yes.
- Headed to the west coast! Need to pack now.
Life to settle down a little after this next weekend (not much but a tiny bit before the insanity that comes with even bigger presentation #3). Hope to be writing more since I have some funny stories to tell.

I've missed you over here, Capey. I hope you are still able to make your obligation from April 15-17th :)

Orb/Bob? That's the best haircut description ever.

Reading your list of craziness makes me feel like I've found one of my tribe. LOL. Yours is work and mine is school, but the mania makes me feel right at home here. ;)

Most important question ever: Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor LOFT? And love the orb cut = tres chic.

Rima- I'll be there with bells and nightguard on. Beware. =)
Magpie- it is an accurate description. My head is a globe. A stylin' globe.
kyla- oh good - yes, we are definitely in same tribe! Come on over anytime and we'll stress together.
introverster. Ann Taylor. I opened a credit card account it was that big. LOVING the spring purple-gray/belts/kitten heels/chunky girly necklaces. I look like posh spice with the hair, minus perma-scowl.

Excellent, Smiling Posh. You had me at kitten heels.

Wait, you DIDN'T disappear into a snowball? I was figuring we wouldn't see the East Coast until April? :)
