Tweeter Cheater

Yes, after I swore up and down that I WOULD NEVER BE ON TWITTER. NEVER, I sent my very first tweets into the ether recently. No more than 2 actual people are following me--I'm pretty sure half of my followers are not actual people but possible alien pods-- but I decided that it would, in fact, not cause me to self-combust if I tested the waters.

The truth is, I've been lurking there for months, dipping a single toe in the cold pool water, wondering if I should just go ahead and submerse an ankle. I'm cautious that way. Plus, I am VERY concerned of any additional time suckage of my limited and ever-shrinking time reservoirs. (tapping into more sleep resevoirs for more work reservoirs = bad)

I do NOT need another Facebook, KWIM?

But, I have discovered that Twitter is a nifty way of information exchange, and could actually contribute to meaningful information exchange. (Not that I tweeted anything of use to anyone -still not sure what I would do with it. Have definitely NOT committed to regular usage.)

That's not to say I'm not gagging about certain Twitter-related phenomena.

Paris Hilton has like 900,000 followers!?! Why?

Um, yeah. I'm afraid for the world we live in. Seriously? I'm getting dementia just from reading this.

Anyway, whatever, I said I'd never do FB. I said I'd never go to BlogHer. Same for smartphones and Twitter. I probably said the same thing about e-mail and microwaves.

And, I so haven't committed to anything. Just an ankle. I'm not even in a swimsuit.
